What to Expect on the California RBS Exam

After you finish ABC-approved training, you still need to pass the official ABC RBS exam. The exam is part of California's statewide program and is taken through the ABC RBS Portal, not as a private pop quiz on a random website.

Exam format

Public ABC information describes an online exam with 50 questions. Questions focus on responsible beverage service topics covered in approved training (laws, intoxication, minors, refusal of service, and related duties).

Passing score

Public information describes a 70% passing score. That means you need to answer enough questions correctly under the portal's rules. We do not invent pass-rate statistics for our customers.

Where you take the exam

You take it in the official ABC RBS Portal after you have met ABC's training prerequisites. Use a stable internet connection and a device you can read comfortably on. Follow any ID or integrity rules the portal shows at exam time.

Preparing without answer keys

We do not publish RBS exam answer keys, dumps, or "guaranteed pass" packs. That content is unreliable and often against policy. Prepare by:

• Completing your ABC-approved training carefully
• Re-reading notes on ID checks, intoxication signs, and when to refuse service
• Using any practice material that comes with your training path
• Resting before you sit the official exam
