About California RBS
What is RBS?
Responsible Beverage Service. It is California's statewide alcohol server and manager training and certification program administered with ABC.
Who needs it?
Many on-premises alcohol servers and the managers who supervise them. See who needs RBS.
Is this site the California ABC?
No. Official pages: https://www.abc.ca.gov/education/rbs/ and https://abcbiz.abc.ca.gov.
Are you an ABC-approved training provider?
We offer online RBS training for California servers and managers. Training for certification must come from an ABC-approved provider, and ABC publishes current provider information on its RBS pages. Email support@rbslicense.com with any questions about how our training is delivered.
Ordering and price
How much is course access?
About $10 USD. We email payment details after you submit the form.
Is the ABC fee included?
No. The portal fee (about $3) is separate and paid in ABC's system. See RBS cost.
How do I order?
Use Request course access on the home page, /how-to-get-rbs/, or /rbs-cost/.

What is the passing score?

How long does RBS last?

I lost my login. Can you fix ABC for me?
No. Use ABC portal recovery. We can only help with our own course access emails.
How do I prove I am Certified?
Use the status and documents shown in your ABC RBS Portal account.
Employers
Can I train my whole team?
Yes. Each person needs their own path. See for employers.
Do managers need RBS too?
If they supervise alcohol servers, check yes against ABC's current summary.
